A Prayer Shawl at Work

United Methodist Women (UMW)

United Methodist Women (UMW) is an organized group of women who seek growth and understanding in Christian fellowship.

All women in the church are invited to affiliate with UMW. Three fellowship groups meet once each month. See our page for more details.

Prayer Group

Meets once a month to pray over specific prayer requests, our church people, our community and worldwide concerns. The group is open to anyone who would like to pray or to learn how. You may request this group to pray specifically for you by sending an email to

Piecemakers meets at 10 am the 2nd Wednesday of every month and the last Saturday of every month. They turn scraps into lovely quilts for Kennewick General Hospital, Community Health Center, LaClinica, Salvation Army and the Union Gospel Mission. You don't have to be an expert to participate and you will learn as you go. The visiting that goes along with the sewing is a real treat. Please contact Phyllis Merrill at 586-3784 or AJ Foster at 783-2855 for more details.

Prayer Shawl Fellowship

These ladies meet the 1st Saturday of every month to knit and pray over shawls that will be given to those undergoing illness, hospitalization, trying times, or distress. These shawls give comfort long after the crisis is over. Contact Pat Walker at 585-5170 for more information.
