Worship Commission

 

An effective worship team works with the pastor and others so that the congregation will have opportunities for worship celebration that focus on God and help people of all ages grow in their understanding of the gospel and become better equipped for daily living as faithful disciples.

 

Committee responsibilities include: coordinating worship music and liturgy with the pastor; preparing the sanctuary for worship services including altar preparation and communion; provision for ushers and greeters; coordination of special worship services such as funerals and weddings; and, evaluating the worship needs of the congregation.

 

Spiritual Gifts and Qualifications Helpful

 

Worship committee members benefit from one or more of the following spiritual gifts: servanthood; teaching; exhortation (encouragement); wisdom; leadership; knowledge; faith; discernment; evangelism; and, shepherding.
